Co-ordinate and lead the development and sourcing of competency-based learning solutions for MTN Nigeria Responsible for sustaining a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team. Also responsible for driving the timely delivery of business targets whilst ensuring that team members understands their specific and unique role to bottom line results. Responsible for determining the (best) practice means for achieving organisational goals within budgetary constraints

Review trends in training and development and contribute to the development of MTN Training Strategy and develop Customer Relations Frontline Capability Development Strategy (Customer Relations, Sales & Distribution).
Review MTN Competency Model including Job Competency Profiles and develop training curriculum based on competencies in the model.
Leverage MTN Competency Model to create learning programs and facilitate the design of learning solutions tailored to the business needs.
Periodically review the development needs of departments and ensure learning directories are up to date in response to business needs.
Develop assessment methods, templates and related systems for identifying and capturing development needs, including training needs of staff.
Organize training needs assessment for individual staff and organization in consultation with departmental heads and managers, promoting linkage of needs with competency gaps.
Consolidate training needs assessments and develop competency-based training plans for the organization, as well as provide input into the learning and development budget.
Develop a needs assessment process and create an instructional design process with appropriate delivery methods and post-training evaluations.
Analyze training needs and efficiently allocate training resources according to capacity, experience, knowledge of trainer and other relevant needs
Define micro training requirements across the organization and source relevant local and international courses to meet such requirements for internal delivery.
Identify, select and manage external training and accreditation bodies, agencies and providers necessary to deliver required training to appropriate standards.
Manage training evaluation procedure using appropriate evaluation methodology (i.e. Kirk Patrick) and conduct surveys on the effectiveness of training periodically.
Conduct checks on content development of learning materials and delivery, providing assurance in the quality and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
Manage employee development programs including internal training programs, MTN Academy Programme, Customer Relations Programme and Corporate Induction Programme.
Review related regulations with respect to training and administer process for ITF compliance.
Track competencies of Customer Relations frontline staff and ensure appropriate programme selection and delivery for frontline competency development, to accomplish defined customer experience strategy.
Produce relevant reports and statistics/data in support of learning solutions management.
Identify, evaluate and track the development needs and performance of Learning Solutions team, providing opportunities for staff to build on the company’s investment in their training and improve productivity.

Experience & Training

Manage the smooth operation of all OSS/NMS platforms ensuring proper fault management, configuration management, performance management and security management are provided for on all Network elements on the network in line with the overall business objective.
Serve the Division’s internal customers and provide solutions to improve the customer experience.
Strategic Partnerships with MTNN leadership team to drive awareness on expected behaviours and impact on non-compliance on bottom line results and company image/reputation.
Drive planned strategy for the successful delivery of MTN Group and MTNN transformation initiatives focusing on Customer centricity, including Perfect 10 Project.
Drive an increase in MTNN’s Net Promoter Score. Interface with various units in MTN; VAS planning, service creation, IS, HLS/DCG,RA, CPG,TX services, switch operations etc in the development and support of OSS/NMS services Network and build solid relationships with internal units and relevant third parties (e.g. strategic investors, technical and finance partners, business consultants etc.) and develop a close working relationship with relevant information sources to provide an integrated service.
Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers.
Coordinate, coach and influence external partners and essential support departments across MTNN’s business units to deliver a seamless pre-sales and post-sales service experience.
Establish and maintain relationship with strategic 3rd party suppliers and vendors
Develop and set the acceptance criteria for new OSS/NMS platforms
Ensure smooth integration of new network elements into the operational network Schedule all tasks and projects related to the OSS/NMS
Oversee prompt resolution of major OSS/NMS faults and CSRs
Oversee and coordinate all technical activities, including activities of direct reports.
Ensure continuous monitoring of network performance of the Core Network Ensure the MTN OSS/NMS configurations meet the market requirements as well as ITU specifications
Ensure weekly reports on overall performance of the OSS/NMS platforms are available
Develop new philosophies or new user requirements on high level specifics for OSS/NMS platforms

Coordinate and monitor Managed Services vendors to ensure that carry out optimization activities in line with MTNN strategy in order to achieve cell level KPI’s without compromising Network integrity and customer experience.
Measure Network Capacity and coverage enhancement functions within the assigned cluster with: o Capacity – Ensure MTNN network accommodates anticipated subscriber level 3 months ahead o Coverage – Oversee enhancement and coverage optimization with TMA, MHA and indoor repeaters. o Technology integration – Ensure multiservice sites (2G, 3G, etc) are properly designed and integrated with minimal complexity and good Inter Radio Access Technology performance.
Measure Network optimization/performance management within the region with: o Participate in LAC planning & optimization. o Drive the management and maintenance network quality
Track and monitor behavior and status of all sites in the cluster which includes: o Nominal plan from Coverage Steering Group o Planned sites o Site acquisition status o Build configuration and status o Traffic levels o Quality KPI’s
Monitor the execution of nominal radio coverage and capacity rollout design for the assigned cluster
Monitor and analyze network performance and configuration to ensure KPIs are in conformance with targets
Analyze traffic, utilization and subscriber growth, continuously, in order to foresee needs for capacity expansion.
Review, prepare and load cell data for integration of sites onto the network
Coordinate testing of newly integrated sites for performance and necessary network adjustments for optimal network performance post integration.

Coordinate the handling of local network queries raised by the customer operations team in the assigned cluster
Escalate/ Ensure prompt response to customer queries.
Maintain at all times a detailed knowledge of the behavior and status of all sites in the assigned cluster to aid feedback to management
