Job Description
Partnering closely with Sales Managers and Finance on end to end commissions management, following a monthly review and reconciliation rhythm with quarterly commission calculation and analysis.
Complete Ownership for designated Business Group
Accurate and on time Commissions calculation following set processes
Key Business partnering with Finance, Sales Management and Business Operations
Responsible for validating Annual Commission plans with the Segment Finance
Load Quarterly and Annual Commission Plans into Commissions system and issue Quarterly/Annual Commission Letters to Sales Staff in a timely manner
Reconcile data from Commissions system versus Finance systems, variance analysis • Monthly reviews with Sales Managers of team credit allocations, investigating discrepancies,adjustments processing
Ensure strict adherence to SOX rules as well as key internal controls • Provide interpretation and education of the policies found in the GCF
Create and provide ad hoc reporting to Sales Management and Segment Finance
Identify enhancements to process and system limitations to improve process efficiency
Responsible for the management of communication with all the relevant Stakeholders regarding Commissions Essential Skills:
Provide strategic business partnership to the sub regional leadership to drive high quality commissions administration and performance review
Proven experience in Finance/Accounting
Effective Written and Verbal Communication Skills
High Customer Focus and satisfactions awareness and ability to work under pressure
Excellent Knowledge of MS Excel ability to manipulate pivot tables and formulas and produce graphs and charts for data analysis
Good MS PowerPoint skills, ability to produce quarterly commissions pack with graphs, charts etc, comfortable with presenting
Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to capture low level detail and present in a efficient high level format using excel and PowerPoint
Ability to perform under established policies and perform with a sense of urgency in order to meet aggressive deadlines
Good organizational skills and ability to understand customer workflow and priorities
Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot with elements of ambiguity
Ability to capture process knowledge at a granular level but also able to deviate from a rigid process when a work around is required whilst maintaining key controls Desired Skills:
Working Knowledge of internal Systems (Siebel/trust/Varicent)
Proven ability to interact with management and influence outcomes
Sales Commissions experience or other incentive compensation experience
Education/ Certifications: (Specific degrees and/or certifications required or preferred)

Qualifications:

Bachelors/Masters degree in Management/Commerce
Two plus years progressive finance, data or operations experience
Experience of working in large multinational with complex organizational matrix

Sr Financial Analyst

Job Description

This position is responsible for implementing the special offer contract new/renewal process in support of the marketing segments. This involves frequent communication with personnel from several functional areas, especially CVM management, Sales and Account Management (SAM), Contracts Counsel (CCM/Legal), Strategic Marketing, SAM Finance, New Product Development, Order Fulfillment, Product & Pricing Services, Commissions and Billing.  The position provides reporting and analysis relating to contract performance, competitive win-loss reporting, and other ad hoc analysis as requested by Finance/Strategic Marketing management. Finally, the Senior Analyst may be called upon to provide training related to special offer processes and/or act generally as a resource for contract information.

Legal/CVM/Senior Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the special offer contract new/renewal process, including the gathering of account-level information in cooperation with SAM, reviewing special offer performance data to determine which segment strategies and programs are most likely to lead to successful renewal, and working through implementation issues with Order Fulfillment and Product & Pricing Service to ensure appropriate account set-up and billing. Also act as a resource for determining new processes as additional programs and initiatives are launched.
  • Work with Strategic Marketing to develop and implement pricing/content programs that lead to optimal contract sales and renewals. This includes providing feedback about the current market environment, implementing segment programs, and working through implementation issues as programs are expanded and fine-tuned to fit market needs.
  • Assist SAM in the sale and renewal of special offer Westlaw contracts. This involves analyzing usage/revenue trends, customer content needs, and market pricing trends and contracting needs. The analyst is also responsible for maintaining a contract management database, which houses information about contract terms and provides data for monthly financial reporting and ensures adherence to SOX reporting and compliance.
  • Act as an advisor to various groups regarding the performance and direction of special offer Westlaw contracts. This includes training certain groups about the types of contracts we write, how programs related to special offer contracts are intended to work, and how the special offer process works generally. The Analyst is also a key resource for special offer reporting and analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for improving special offer processes and performance, and take on additional projects as assigned by lead/ manager.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or other relevant major required; MBA and/or knowledge of legal industry is a plus.
  • 5-8+ years experience in a Finance and/or contract pricing environment
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, management accounting, financial analysis, financial modeling, planning, forecasting and management reporting
  • Detail orientated with strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent written, oral, analytical and technical skills
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work on a team as well as independently and drive results
  • Proven experience in use and application of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Basic knowledge of Thomson Reuters products

Business Operations Analyst

Job Description
The Business Operations Analyst is responsible for a wide range of duties that enhance the efficiency of the Subscription Services Department.

Duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Coordinates testing and support the quarterly SAP Major releases.
Attends standing system meetings with SAP and Bolt to represent Subscription Services issues, coordinates testing, and raises new change requests.
Coordinates with systems and network support for all wireless hardware devices and communicates issues as needed.
Provides detailed business knowledge to system developers, including knowledge transfer of existing systems and use to the new MIS team and TCS Consulting.
Logs tickets for troubleshooting and develops BRS and justification documentation.
Monitors and reports on transactional accuracy, errors, missed subscription lists, confirmations and pallet scans.
Provides first level support to Subscription Services employees relating to vendor services, software, and hardware.
